 The waterfall lip overlaps the liner by 5
inches, making it very easy to achieve a leak free waterfall. This is a great design
feature of these combination waterfall and filter units.

The PuriFalls® water filtration
box provides three layers of filtration. First, the water flows through the filter media.
The filter mats also provide surface area for bacteria which break down harmful elements
in your pond and keep the ecosystem balanced. After flowing through the filter mats, the
water flows through bags of ceramic rock. Finally, most people choose to put plants in
baskets in the water at the top of their water fall box. Water flowing through the roots
of water plants helps complete the nitrogen cycle in your pond.

PondSweep® skimmer box is easy and assures a leak-free seal to the pond liner
This ryukin goldfish is a slow
swimmer, but he was never harmed when caught in this skimmer, because of its patented,
fish-safe design. After two weeks and quite a few visits into the net, this ryukin learned
to keep a safe distance from the PondSweep skimmer opening in Gary Wittstock's pond.
Leveling the PuriFalls® side to
side is important to achieve a uniform flow from your waterfall.
We recommend a waterfall stone
sealant like foam polyurethane to seal the waterfall to the water fall stone to the top
lip of the PuriFalls®.
The PSM skimmer box comes with an
optional fiberglass lid that looks like flagstone. If you choose, however, you can cover
your skimmer with actual rock to make it match the rest of your pond better.
PondSweep® Skimmer
The PondSweep® Skimmer provides several types of filtration. First, it mechanically
skims water from the surface of the pond so that any floating debris such as leaves don't
fall to the bottom of your pond and decay. Next, the skimmer houses a net that catches the
large debris and is easily removed for cleaning. Finally, a filter mat traps small
particles.
